Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are set to attend future royal family functions.
The York sisters, whose parents have been exiled from their royal positions, are still cared for by their uncle, King Charles.
Speaking about Peter Phillips’ upcoming royal wedding and Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s special invitation, royal expert Jenny Bond told the Mirror: “If Beatrice and Eugenie are guests at the wedding there will inevitably be some interest in them, but not enough to upset the bride and groom in any way. They are Peter’s cousins and they have always had a good relationship.
“I don’t think Peter would feel that the brunt of Andrew and Sarah’s alleged sins should be borne by his daughters, who have not been accused of doing anything wrong.”
Jenny said, “Beatrice and Eugenie are going through an incredibly difficult time in their lives, and I think their wider family is determined to live up to their promise that women will always be included.”
