listen to father
“My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” – John 10:27
An Englishman tells the true story of his meeting with a Muslim man while traveling in the country. The Englishman wanted to share the gospel with this man but he knew little about Muslim beliefs. The two men continued talking as they walked and agreed that they would both share their beliefs with each other. At the time of Samayik, Muslims went first and established dominance. The Englishman asked the Holy Spirit how to share his faith with a Muslim man. “Do you consider your God as your Father who speaks?” Asked the Englishman.
“Definitely not,” replied the Muslim man.
“There is a big difference between your God and my God. I consider my God to be my Father who speaks to me personally.”
“You can’t prove it,” the Muslim man said.
The Englishman then prayed to himself, “Lord, how can I prove this to this man?” After a few moments, both the men started walking towards two girls coming towards them from the other side of the road. As they approached, the Englishman spoke to the women and made small talk. He then said to a woman, “I believe you are a nurse, is that correct?”
The woman was surprised that a man she had never met had told her about his business. “How would you know that? I’ve never met you before,” she questioned.
He replied, “I asked my father and he told me.” The Muslim had proof of this.
Many of us do not hear the voice of God because we do not believe that He speaks or wants to speak to us. To hear we must listen. To hear, we must believe that He speaks. Ask the Lord for an ear to listen today so that others will know that you have a Heavenly Father who speaks.
