The biggest prediction? The number of fans will continue to grow and influence our summer style.

According to the report, “Fandom is evolving into a form of self-expression (“WNBA game outfit” +70%). Pinterest users are taking advantage of this shift, turning team spirit into an everyday aesthetic (“Women’s Jersey Outfit” +494%). ” Basically, many people are taking away from sports iconography and applying it to their wardrobes off the court or field.

And at least in New York, we’re seeing excitement especially over the Knicks reaching the playoffs and the World Cup. So, appropriately, many of Pinterest’s timely summer trends revolve around sportswear, from luxury athleisurewear to varsity and preppy aesthetics, as well as sweaty glam.
