Paris is always a good idea, but spring in Paris feels like a completely different city. I’ve reluctantly returned from my fourth trip to my second favorite city in the world (New York City will always be in my heart), but this was only the first time I’d seen it in the spring. I have a habit of dressing for the Parisian winter – Uniqlo Heattech, long wool coats and garments that rarely have a chance to be fully seen underneath them. Function has always triumphed over aesthetics.
This time was different. The city was just starting to blossom in the spring, and I found myself drawn to slow mornings, café stops and golden hour walks along the Seine. Think about the coquette top, Two-piece set, and ultra-romantic silhouette. Finally, I got the chance to experience French fashion to its fullest, when the cold weather couldn’t hinder locals and tourists from showing off their dressing skills – including me.
Suffice it to say, I pulled out all the stops. Keep scrolling for a look at everything I wore during my recent trip to Paris.
my paris outfit
day 1
On the first day of my trip, I arrived in Paris at 6 a.m., and despite being severely jet-lagged, there was no time to waste. Since I was staying in my favorite neighborhood, Le Marais, it inevitably became a shopping day. Unfortunately, while the sky was blue and the sun was shining, the wind kicked up, which really made this outfit the perfect choice.
day 2
Believe it or not, I don’t actually wear a lot of colors, but Paris definitely seemed like the perfect opportunity to experiment. Ever since I got this pink suede blazer from The Toe, I’ve been looking forward to wearing it. If you know me, you also know that I’m obsessed with pink and red color combinationWhich was exactly the direction I wanted to go with this outfit – just in a more demure style.
I kept the bases classic with a white T-shirt and jeans, then styled them with maroon-toned accessories from two iconic Parisian brands: a Gerard Darrell handbag and Veja x Baserange sneakers.
third day
For days three and four, I took a quick detour to Bordeaux—France’s famous wine region and Canale capital. Located in the southwestern part of France, Bordeaux was much warmer than Paris, so I was able to justify wearing my red two-piece Tyler McGillivary set.
If you haven’t visited Bordeaux yet, I would highly recommend it. There’s so much to see and do, and it’s only a two-hour train journey away. Plus, it’s always nice to experience what other cities in France have to offer besides Paris.

That evening, our group had dinner at Symbios, a beautifully intimate vintage venue in the center of Bordeaux, and rightly so, I had to dress for the occasion.
I thought this floor-length, drop-waist number might be too formal for a restaurant, but then again, when in Bordeaux… naturally, I brought along my old Baileys mini bag – the perfect companion for a night out.
day 4
My last day in Bordeaux was like this: a visit to Darwin Ecosystem, a collaborative space made up of cafés, shops and other small businesses that foster sustainable growth and creativity. Since it was unseasonably warm, I went with a spring dress from Meow (Anthropologie’s little-sister brand) paired with Dolce Vita’s classic black ballet flats. Polka dots are always here to stay in my opinion.
day 5
With it being my last day in Paris, I wanted to have a cool day to myself. For the last time in Le Marais, I chose Anvil’s double-breasted peplum top and my trusty straight-leg Uniqlo jeans. No bag necessary – just my Gerard Darrell Phone Crossbody.
