Trust me—buy it is a series where editor-at-large Nicole Eshaghpour curates her favorite fashion products shoppable for Who What Wear readers.
Welcome to the latest installment of Trust Me—Buy It! Just a warning, I’ve been everywhere (literally and figuratively) over the past few months, so you can expect the shopping roundup you’re about to encounter to reflect that feeling! Home, holidays, early pregnancy, late pregnancy – we’ve got more for all of these, so buckle up. As always, you can expect a mix of largely my favorite basics (including several duplicates because they’re so good), as well as, of course, the occasional “fun” discovery. This time, they are mostly in the beach wear category because this is the season. If any of these made your ears perk up, just keep scrolling to get started.
These four items—my J.Crew rollneck, Donnie cargo, The Row Idaho bag, and Salomon’s—are heavy in my rotation right now, and I’m dreading the day it’s too hot for knitwear in New York.
You don’t see me in print very often, but when you do it’s on holidays and there’s a 50% chance it’s of the animal variety! I love zebra, and I loved this sheer dress to wear over a bikini on a recent trip.
now this Is It’s starting to get hot, I’m living in this breezy maxi dress from Disha.
Returning to the trip for the next few slides, I love crochet dresses for the holidays, and this dress from Baobab was the perfect combination of special and cozy. It features a loose, comfortable silhouette, paired with resin stone detailing on the front, ideal for anything at the beach or a night out.
If you’re looking for a non-maternity but maternity-friendly swimwear brand, it’s Hunza G, and I was obsessed with how well this blue one-piece matched with my blue-checked cargo pants for a day at the beach and shopping.
Half the time I scroll through and see a cover-up or summer dress I love, I feel like it’s from Cala de la Cruz. My exact print is from last year, so it’s no longer available, but the same dress below comes in a newer and arguably nicer print.
If you’re looking for non-traditional basics, look no further than this ribbed red tank and these leveled-up Broderie Anglaise drawstring pants!
This photo is definitely not my best work and doesn’t do the jacket justice, but I was running out the door and really wanted everyone to know about this on-trend, funnel-neck jacket that Reformation has perfected. It’s light but roomy enough for spring and summer, so you can even wear a knit layer underneath it when the weather gets a little cooler. And the waistband at the waist is the cherry on top.
More Drawstring Pants? Yes. Your eyes are not deceiving you. This time, it’s the $98 J.Crew pants that our whole team is loving pairing with the Madewell tee that I have in multiple sizes, colors, and duplicates because it’s that good.
So if it’s not already painfully obvious, I am, in fact, obsessed with these pants and this sweater and have three colors of each.
Now, this is really outside the box for me, but as I’ve said in the past, I’ll always step outside my comfort zone for a piece that’s special enough, and this VRG GRL dress that I wore as a cover-up felt like a worthy excuse.
Locking it up with you in your comforter… I’ll never stop talking about pointelle pants as a better casual bottom option, nor will I stop praising these beautiful, chic and, most importantly, breathable, mesh Miu Miu slides for summer.
