As a skirt enthusiast, I don't think people are wearing this style enough for summer.

As a skirt enthusiast, I feel confident when I say that I think we’ve lost the art of the funky skirt. And when I say funky skirt, I don’t mean polka dots or stripes. I mean something really strange. Maybe it’s the skirt with both stripes and polka dots. Maybe it’s the one with neon flowers. There may be tiger printed on the front instead of tiger print. Just something that doesn’t feel traditional.

The best thing about a funky skirt is that it instantly adds personality to any outfit. It adds the kind of dimension that a trendy print can’t add. It tells a story. It makes a statement. It simplifies your styling as it does all the talking.

I think we’re not thinking about it enough when it comes to heat. Yes, I love lacy slip skirts as much as the next girl. But there is some hope for this. A unique skirt makes an impact! It gives you the ability to really think outside the box. This is also great if you have a lot of basic tees and tanks but want to wear them in a more complicated way. This can give your wardrobe the range it might otherwise be missing. Plus, it’s just fun! It doesn’t take itself too seriously.
