Daniel Radcliffe has made a surprising revelation about what made him quit smoking.
In a recent interview with vultureThe harry potter The star revealed that becoming a father was the turning point that led him to quit smoking after two decades.
Radcliffe, who has a son with partner Erin Drake, admitted he had been a heavy smoker for almost 20 years. He said, “I’ve just quit smoking – now not ‘just’, but I’m going to talk about it, because I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in quitting smoking.”
Adding, “I smoked heavily for 20 years, and I was never even thinking about quitting, and then shortly after my son was born, intrusive thoughts of my own mortality really helped as an incentive to quit.”
Radcliffe continued, “I was given this book that I came across years ago called The Easy Way to Quit Smoking by Allen Carr. It may not work for everyone, but it really worked for me.”
Earlier, Daniel Radcliffe had also admitted in WSJ magazine that he has become very serious about fitness.
“I do weights, circuit training, cardio. I don’t look like someone who is a fitness freak, but I am very serious about it,” he said.
“I feel like I’m a stereotypical example of a former alcoholic or someone who had any kind of addictive personality and then turned that addiction into a gym,” Radcliffe said.
