The UK government has made its decision regarding documents held by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor when he was trade envoy to the UK.
It is relevant to mention this as the ex-Duke of York has been accused of misconduct while holding public office and was even arrested, and detained for more than 11 hours during his 66th birthday.
In light of this, the Department of Trade and Commerce plans to release documents in which Andrew is mentioned, or has any role.
according to AFP Their plans were released last month, and since then the team has been working to identify and prepare content for release. Even Minister Chris Bryant has issued a written statement amid this wait.
It reads, “We have begun searches of historical departmental records and parallel searches in other departments, particularly the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and the Cabinet Office.”
As for Andrew’s current situation, he is living in temporary accommodation, specifically at Marsh Farm, while renovation work continues on the more permanent accommodation he was promised during his removal from the Royal Lodge.
While the lodge was the ex-duke’s home for decades, and even saw him live with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, this new residence, funded privately by the monarch, and not taxpayers’ money, comes with demands that Fergie get her own residence.
His appearances in public or with regard to news updates have been few and far between. The only known news has come via sources, who claim she is hoping to have cosmetic surgery to ‘attract a man’, as London’s high society has closed its doors to her.
Other rumors warn of a possible memoir where she could go ‘full Harry’, but none of these rumors have yet received any support from the Palace or Fergie.
