More deadly asbestos has been found in children’s toys filled with sand after a number of products were recalled in the UK.
The toxic discovery has left parents horrified across the United Kingdom, and now families in Europe are facing similar warnings.
Asbestos is a banned substance that poses a risk Health Even at low levels of exposure.
Often found in old insulation and fire-resistant materials, it is now known to cause fatal lung disease and cancer when inhaled.

European Parliament seeking answers from European Commission Regarding toxic fibers found in “imported children’s play sand”.
The priority question refers to recent reports that children’s play sand in the EU imported from China contains asbestos.
It reads, “Asbestos has long been banned in the European Union due to its carcinogenic effects.”
“The fact that such a dangerous substance was found in a product specifically intended for children raises serious questions about the effectiveness of import controls and EU market surveillance.”
In the Netherlands, possibly traces of asbestos have been found in joeppiewingel.nl’s AP2600 Sand Tub Yellow 1 kg (Anthony Peters), sold between 2022 and 2026.
A sand-filled stress monster from Kidero Group, which was sold between September 26, 2025 and March 17, 2026, has also been identified as potentially dangerous.
Kidero Group and Anthony Peters were contacted for comment.
The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) warned parents: “Do not use this product.”
Buyers of the toys are advised to return them or take them to a recycling center.
Both companies promise to refund the purchase price, d telegraph Informed.

Office The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OfSS) has advised parents to ensure their children “immediately stop using the product”.
To safely remove the toy, place it in a heavy-duty plastic bag and double tape it securely.
Be sure to clearly label the bag and keep it in a safe place out of the reach of children.
And if the toy has been damaged, making the sand inside accessible, be sure to clean the areas where the product was used with a damp cloth to avoid dust generation.
You should wear gloves and a mask during this process and double bag them with the sand and cloth.
Children and other people in the home should be kept away from areas where sand has been used until the area is cleaned.
You may dispose of the product in your normal household waste, or return it to the store indicated by the retailer, who will provide a full refund.
In November last year, laboratory testing revealed that asbestos was present in sand products sold across the country Australia And New Zealand.
Sand imported from China was designed for children to play with and use in schools and nurseries, yet when tested it was found to contain dangerous asbestos.
