Tiger Woods has an extremely loyal fan base in the golf world. So, when he was arrested recently, as expected, there was outrage among his fans.
But the way a section of his supporters express their support for the golden legend is unusual to say the least.
Those die-hard fans showed up to the Texas Children’s Houston Open in white T-shirts with a bold message screaming #FreeTiger.
The T-shirt, however, features an unflattering photo of Woods: his recent, infamous mugshot.
According to TMZ, the bizarre fashion statement briefly diverted attention from the tournament, causing the third round of the series to become a spectacle for viewers.
The controversial tee demonstration comes just a day after Wood’s arrest in Jupiter, Florida.
According to multiple reports, he was driving at a dangerous speed; He probably lost control and collided with the back of a pickup truck pulling a trailer.
But legal drama erupted when the golf icon refused to cooperate with police.
When officers wanted to confirm whether he was driving under the influence, he reportedly refused to provide a urine sample, and also reportedly failed a field sobriety test.
