As we enter the fifth week of the Iran war, with no clear signs of stopping, markets continue to remain extremely volatile due to rising geopolitical tensions. Global equities suffered further declines, with the S&P 500 falling 2.1% to below the 6,400 level, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq lost a massive 3.2%. Oil prices remain the only variable determining market direction. Brent crude initially fell below $100 a barrel after news of a delay in US strikes, but prices rose sharply as the week progressed without further gains.
