After seeing photos of the ceremony, disability advocate Millie Pickles, who uses a wheelchair, asked her Instagram followers whether William’s gesture was appropriate and how people with disabilities prefer to be treated in similar situations.
“What I found fascinating was the clear difference in opinion between disabled and able-bodied people,” she wrote in sharing the results of her poll.
