A former CIA officer has reflected on the alleged activities of Kristi Noem’s husband Brian Noem, saying they may put him at risk of blackmail by foreign intelligence services.
fox news digital Former CIA officer Mark Polymeropoulos is quoted as saying, “If a media organization can figure it out, you can assume with a high degree of confidence that a hostile intelligence service knows it, too.”
“Such damaging information could be a stressful lead to a hostile intelligence service,” Polymeropoulos said.
“They come to the person and say, if you work with us we won’t expose this, and if you don’t, we will. That’s espionage 101.”
The former intelligence official’s comments came after Christie’s representative told a publication, “Ms. Noem is devastated. The family was shocked by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers at this time.”

Kristi and Brian Noem met in high school, married in 1992, and have daughters Cassidy, and Kennedy, and a son, Booker.
Meanwhile, Noem supported her wife by dutifully sitting behind her at a congressional hearing investigating aggressive immigration enforcement tactics last month.
