Jamie Lee Curtis has opened up about the deaths of her close friends Rob Reiner and Michelle Reiner.
Speaking on a podcast, the Oscar-winning actress revealed that one of her close friends passed away on her daughter Annie’s birthday.
“Their baby was born in December, and it was a week after Rob and Michelle (died), and Rob and Michelle are his godparents,” an emotional Curtis recalled the events of December.
She further added, “He died on his birthday. My beautiful daughter, who loved him like all of us, managed to overcome that pain and sadness… (and then) brought her son into this world a week later.”
The series of events has been described as “life on the harshest terms of life and life on the most beautiful, perfect terms of life”.
At the time of Rob Reiner and Michelle Reiner’s deaths in December, Jamie Lee Curtis told People Magazine that she and her husband were “shocked and saddened and heartbroken about the violent, tragic deaths of our dear friends.”
“Our only focus and care right now is their children and immediate families and we will provide every possible support to help them,” the actress said at the time.
