A US judge on Thursday dismissed actor Blake Lively’s sexual assault claims in her lawsuit against actor and director Justin Baldoni, significantly limiting her case to the filming of her 2024 romantic drama “It End’s With Us.”
District Judge Lewis Liman’s 152-page ruling followed more than a year of bitter litigation over the film, which co-starred Lively and Baldoni and which Baldoni directed.
The three claims that have been allowed to proceed to hearing (currently scheduled for May 2026) are:
breach of contract
vengeance
aiding and abetting retaliation
The 10 claims rejected by the judge are:
Sexual Harassment (including Title VII and California FEHA claims)
defamation
civil conspiracy
Failure to investigate, prevent, or remedy harassment
aiding and abetting oppression
intentional infliction of emotional distress
negligence causing emotional distress
interference with potential economic benefits
Certain retaliation claims (e.g., Title VII retaliation and specific California Labor Code retaliation)
Additional related tort and statutory claims contribute to the total of 10.
