US President Donald Trump decided to skip three Easter Sunday services today instead of visiting Washington DC – leading to further speculation over his health.
The 79-year-old man, who posted a bizarre ‘Praise to Allah’ post on one of the most important days of the year in the Christian calendar, instead took a ‘ceremonial slow’ walk around Memorial Circle.
During the ride, he also stopped at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia.
At nearby St. John’s Episcopal Church, Lafayette Square, known as the “Church of the Presidents” where Trump has frequently attended, Easter services were held at 8, 9 and 11 a.m.
Instead, it appears Trump decided to spend his morning on the phone with Fox News reporter Trey Yingst.
During an appearance on Fox & Friends, the foreign correspondent said he called the 79-year-old president on Sunday morning for 15 minutes about his war on Iran.
“The president tells me, ‘If they don’t make a deal quickly, I’m considering blowing up everything and taking over the oil,'” Yingst said from Tel Aviv, Israel.
“The President added, ‘You will see bridges and power plants collapsing all over the country.’
The president also spent the morning issuing a volley of dangerous threats toward Iran.
He wrote on Truth Social: “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day and Bridge Day in Iran, everything rolled into one. There will be nothing like it!!!” 79 year old Trump started. “Open the f***ing’ straight, you freak, or you’ll be in hell – just watch!” He got angry. “Praise be to Allah. President Donald J. Trump”
There was a strong reaction to his post and many people raised questions about the mental state of the President.
Outspoken broadcaster Piers Morgan responded: “It’s shameful. Delete it, President – unless you want everyone to think you’ve lost your bet.”
Former Republican Congresswoman and Trump supporter Marjorie Taylor Greene urged members of the Trump administration to “intervene in Trump’s madness” and said that his actions “are not making America great again, it is evil”.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Trump’s speech sounded like “a madman.” He wrote on X: “Happy Easter, America. As you go to church and celebrate with friends and family, the President of the United States is screaming like a mad man on social media.
“He’s threatening potential war crimes and alienating allies. That’s who he is, but that’s not who we are. Our country deserves much better.”
Bernie Sanders, an independent US senator, called it “dangerous and mentally unbalanced”. He said on
