A British tourist disappeared during a solo trip to the US after mysteriously meeting a man carrying flowers at the airport – before her phone suddenly switched off.
21-year-old Katherine Esther Gamboa Kerwood went to California for a week-long sightseeing trip, but when her family discovered she never checked into the hostel where she claimed to be staying, they became concerned.
The last message her loved ones received was on Friday – and when they asked to speak to her on the phone, she suddenly stopped responding.
The San Francisco Police Department is now searching for the missing woman.
