Although there have been a lot of doubts about the state of OnePlus’ smartphone business in the global markets recently, one thing is for sure – the brand still intends to continue with business as usual, as seen With the launch of the new OnePlus Nord 6.
Although it looks a lot like the more expensive OnePlus 15, the Nord 6 has more modest hardware specs to keep its price down. For one, the phone runs on a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, one of Qualcomm’s more notable “not-quite-flagship but still powerful” SoCs on the market. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is common in many new midrange phones these days.
The phone performs excellently in other areas, however. For example, its 6.78-inch display comes with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz (for supported apps) and a peak brightness of 3600 nits. Perhaps even more impressive is that it has an absolutely massive 9000mAh battery, which can charge instantly at a speed of 80W. Other features include a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, an in-display sensor, and IP69K dust and water resistance.
With its price starting at ₹38,999 (about $420), the phone is more affordable than its flagship siblings. That being said, it is currently exclusive to India, though there’s no word yet on availability in other regions.
