Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have reportedly moved from Rhode Island after considering exchanging vows at their massive estate, which also has a hotel next door.
Now sources have claimed that this high-profile wedding will take place in New York. It is also said that the couple has chosen June 3 for the ceremony and have already sent invitations to close friends and family.
While earlier reports linked the wedding to Rhode Island, the pair are now said to have opted for a large indoor venue in New York. “It will be inside a house,” an insider said. The Daily Mail.
Insiders claim that this change was made to accommodate more guests as well as for privacy.
“Taylor doesn’t want it to be like Selena’s wedding,” the insider said, referring to Swift’s best friend Selena Gomez’s recent nuptials, who married Benny Blanco under a white awning at Sea Crest Nursery in Santa Barbara, California, last September.
Swift is also expected to record the ceremony so the couple can remember the moments of their big day.
Insiders confirmed that the reception is indeed going to be “big.” Swift hinted at this during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show last October while promoting her latest album life of a showgirl.
Swift described the wedding as “huge” and said she was “so excited about it” because “the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount of money.”
He said having fewer guests often means you have to “evaluate or reevaluate your relationship” with friends. “I’m not going to do that,” she said, before joking, “Everyone I’ve talked to (is getting an invitation).”
Despite the reports, neither Swift nor Kels have publicly confirmed any wedding plans.
