Famous Indian singer Asha Bhosle died on Saturday, hours after being taken to hospital, NDTV reported.
The 92-year-old singer suffered a heart attack and was receiving medical care before her condition worsened.
His family said in the statement that the reason for his hospitalization was “extreme exhaustion” and “chest infection”.
Bhosale’s granddaughter further wrote in the announcement shared on April 11, “We request you to respect our privacy. Treatment is ongoing and hopefully everything will go well and we will update you positively.”
Although details about her condition were limited at the time, some reports indicated that she was in critical condition.
