Percy Jackson and the Olympians Star Walker Scobell has a terrible battle on his hands that has caused him to miss a huge part of his teenage life.
The actor, who plays the lead role of God in the Disney+ series, is not going to prom, he said in an Instagram Stories post on Sunday, amid serious threats being made to teenage girls he is familiar with.
“Just to let everyone know, I will not be attending prom,” Scobell wrote in the post to his 2.2 million followers.
“Please stop sending death threats to every teenage girl who may be even remotely related to me based on proximity to where I live. This is not fair to them or their families. Maybe even stop sending death threats in general. This is just not nice. It’s a little weird for me to say this,” he added.
Also this is not the first time Percy Jackson The star has had to deal with his fans crossing limits.
Aryan Simhadri, who plays Grover Underwood, recently shared a disturbing incident Entertainment Weekly During a game of “Lies vs. Lies” with Scobell.
According to Simhadri, he was out in public when a group of “40 drunk girls” recognized him and one of them completely mingled with the actor.
“I was feeling very uncomfortable, so I put my hands in my back pockets,” Simhadri recalled.
“And then she put her hand inside my back pocket, even though my hand was already there. There’s not enough room in the back pocket of jeans to have more than one hand. She stayed in there a little longer than I wanted. Not that I would have liked it at all,” he further revealed.
It’s also worth mentioning Season 3 of Percy Jackson and the Olympianswill return, based on the original book series by author Rick Riordan Disney+ later this year.
The series was such a hit that Season 3 was greenlit just months before the Season 2 premiere.
