RCB batsman Phil Salt took a brilliant catch to dismiss Rishabh Pant after the LSG captain returned to save his team from a difficult situation in the death overs.
Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers have really been doing some good work as they have bowled effectively against some of the most powerful batting teams in the tournament. The credit for this goes to the experience of players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood and Krunal Pandya, along with the immense control and accuracy of players like youngsters Suyyash and Rasikh Dar.
However, what has helped these bowlers in the RCB camp are their fielders. Unlike other teams, RCB has made some of the most extraordinary records on the field, as they have not dropped many catches that went up and they have also restricted runs on the field.
Phil Salt dismissed Rishabh Pant with a brilliant effort on the field.
RCB are at the top of their game and their fielders are supporting their bowlers diligently. Salt has been one of the surprising names. Has featured for the Challengers as one of their key fielders on the field and in the deep.
He had earlier taken a brilliant catch to dismiss captain Ishan Kishan in the first game against Sunrisers at the same venue. He has done it once again by dismissing the captain of another franchise in Lucknow Super Giants at the same venue.
As Rishabh Pant returned to take charge, he swept a ball from Bhuvneshwar Kumar that went towards the gap between deep mid-wicket and the square leg fielder, but Salt covered the ground brilliantly and took a sharp catch while diving forward. Pant had to get out without troubling the scorers much.
