Prince Harry is introduced most clearly on YouTube by TalkTV commentator and host Mark Dolan with biographer Angela Levin.
In his dig at the Duke, who appeared to call out his father in his new Australian chat during a men’s mental health programme, Mr Dolan took the monarch’s side, and revealed how she ran a ‘single parent’ household following Princess Diana’s tragic death in 1997.
In his view, “(King Charles) did his best.” But that didn’t end there, as she began listing off all the things the then-Prince of Wales wanted to do and admitted, “Charles had a huge responsibility, a huge burden. I believe, Angela, that Charles loved Harry very much, even today, despite the attacks, abuse and brickbats from his son.”
For those who aren’t familiar with Ms. Levine, she is Prince Harry’s biographer and a royal commentator who is best known for her decades in the industry.
While speaking to them he also pointed to the shocking things his own son said against the monarch in a memoir, saying, “If you look at the Sparre book, Harry is very harsh about Charles in that book. It’s in black and white portraying his father as a man who put his own interests first, a man who treated him as a problem rather than a son.”
The expert later, finally, addressed a sentiment that Ms. Levin had already noted, which is that even though Prince Harry describes his father as “emotionally limited, not affectionate, more concerned about reputation and the institution than Harry’s pain, none of that is true.” To her “it all feels like it’s been engineered by her other half.”
This is where Ms. Levine chimed in, “Yeah. Because you can’t change completely like that. You can’t change. I mean, you can be very fed up with your parents.” He prompted Mr Dolan to end with a question, such as “What changed? What changed in 2016 and 2017? What changed in Harry’s life? Two words, Meghan Markle.”
