British police have arrested three people after an attempted arson attack on the offices of a Persian-language media organization in northwest London.
London’s Metropolitan Police said in a statement on Thursday that they had arrested a 16-year-old boy and two men aged 19 and 21 on suspicion of endangering life by arson in connection with the attack which happened in the Wembley area of west London at around 8.30pm (19:30 GMT) the previous day.

The UK’s Press Association news agency reported that the attackers had targeted the offices of Volant Media, the parent company of UK-based Persian news channel Iran International, which is known for its coverage critical of the Iranian government.
The Met statement said officers on patrol in the area discovered that a “flaming container” had been thrown towards the premises, landing in a car park, where the fire immediately extinguished itself.
Police said officers then chased a black SUV, which later crashed northwest of Wembley.
No one was injured, and no damage was reported. Police said they evacuated several nearby buildings as a precaution, but quickly assessed there was no widespread threat.
The statement said “counter-terrorism” detectives are now investigating the case, although it is not being treated as a “terrorist incident”.
Police said the incident was not being linked to an arson attack on a synagogue in Finchley this week and the setting on fire of a Jewish community ambulance in Golders Green last month, both of which occurred amid the ongoing US-Israeli war over Iran.
