Meghan Trainor recently revealed how she was in “heavy therapy” to save her marriage with Daryl Sabara.
The singer, who shares three children with her husband, has revealed how their relationship was “pushed aside” due to becoming a parent.
“I am undergoing extensive therapy,” the 33-year-old star said. US Weekly.
Meghan is about to release her seventh album, toy with meand revealed that she was undergoing therapy as she wrote the record.
“I was in marriage counseling while doing this album,” she said, adding that she and Daryl “are so good now that I recommend it to everyone.”
She shared some of what she had learned through therapy. “We’ve learned (that) having kids from one to five, your marriage goes to the wayside, and then you’re like: ‘Why are we fighting? We’re on the same team.’ We started marriage counseling because we realized that when we were having little arguments we were living in completely different realities. We even say in our fights, ‘Hey, we’re not fighting about the same thing.'”
Now, No The singer believes communication is key to maintaining a relationship, “You can’t hold anything back because it creates resentment, and resentment is a relationship killer. Now we can see each other and read each other’s minds. We never fight anymore, and we’re always there for each other on a different level.”
Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara married in 2018 and have three children, Riley, five, Barry, two, and daughter Mickey, who was born via surrogate in January.
