Bryan Cranston recently reflected on working with the late Catherine O’Hara and the valuable lessons she taught him.
For those unaware, Cranston and O’Hara worked together as guest stars for the first time 30 rock in 2012. They were seen together again in 2024 Argyll as well as studio, An Apple TV+ series in 2025.
70 year old American actor talked Sir for an interview with him malcolm in the middle Co-star Frankie Muniz. During the conversation, she was asked to share what she learned from her late co-star O’Hara.
Answering the question, he shared, “What I learned from Katherine decades ago – was her ability to give her all to comedy and then relax.”
Cranston said, “She wasn’t one of those people who was always trying to be funny off camera. She would set the pace herself and then when it was time to start working, she would start working.”
Additionally, the Emmy winner was also a fan of their collaborative spirit on set, as he quipped, “Her willingness — she would come to me at times and say, ‘Hey, what about this? What if we tried this?’ And so she was always there, and that encouraged me to be able to do the same with others. ‘Hey, how about we try this? What about that?”
Bryan Cranston admitted, “And she was a really talented person, but an even better person. God, I miss her so much.”
It is pertinent to mention that Catherine O’Hara, whose career spanned over five decades, passed away due to pulmonary embolism (PE) on January 30, 2026.
