Prince William once became very emotional when Kate Middleton came to his defense.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, who are currently waiting to become the next King and Queen of Britain, dated each other for 10 years before getting married in 2011.
Early in their relationship, Prince William revealed that he would often make a mess while trying to impress Kate Middleton with his cooking skills. Speaking in a 2010 engagement interview with the BBC, William and Kate told an amusing anecdote from the early days of their romance.
Kate recalled, “Actually I think I went red when I met you and was so embarrassed to meet you.”
“We just saw each other more, hung out a little more and talked a lot,” she said during a 2010 interview.
He said, “When I was trying to impress Kate I was trying to cook these amazing fancy dinners and what happened was I’d burn something, spill something, catch fire and she’d be sitting in the background trying to help and basically controlling the whole situation, so I was so glad she was there at that time.”
