Meghan Markle reportedly gave careful consideration to her wardrobe during her recent trip to Australia with Prince Harry.
According to sources, the Duchess of Sussex’s fashion choices were part of a broader effort to shape how the couple is viewed.
Meghan appeared in dresses from a number of Australian designers while attending events that included a visit to a children’s hospital, a stop at a women’s shelter and meetings with veterans and charity groups.
Speaking to an entertainment outlet, the insider said Meghan worked closely with advisers ahead of the trip to plan details from clothing to public presentation.
The source said, “Meghan struggles with this reputation as a diva, so she spent a lot of money on image consultants to make sure she wasn’t viewed that way on this trip.”
He added, “They spent weeks talking to get every detail right, from fashion choices to how they presented themselves.”
Meghan was also accused of using the late Princess Diana’s legacy to promote the tour after she was seen wearing a watch that once belonged to Diana.
She was seen with a gold Cartier Tank Française watch while attending events with Harry.
