It appears Prince William is upset with a common birthday tradition in the royal family.
The Prince of Wales, who is celebrating his youngest son Prince Louis’s eighth birthday today, is irritated by loud toys he gives as gifts.
In an appearance on a 2020 episode of the podcast How to Fail with Elizabeth Day, Princess Diana’s friend, Julia Samuel, revealed: “I do with George what (Diana) did with us, which is give impossible toys that make really noise and take a lot of work to make.”
“William has to spend days putting them together. And then putting all the machinery together, and it makes horrible sounds and flashing lights and all that.”
She adds, “It makes (her) laugh, and it makes George laugh too.”
She added, “He’s funny, cantankerous and cheeky and God she (Diana) would have loved him so much.” “It’s heartbreaking for all of them.”
It came as William and Kate posted on Instagram: “Happy birthday, Louis! 8 today!”
