Finally, warm spring days have arrived, and it’s kicked both my mood and my wardrobe into a new gear. Over the past few weeks, I’ve spent time rearranging my wardrobe, discarding the heavy wool clothing and insulating layers at the back and bringing light linen trousers and floaty boho blouses to the fore. Although I rely heavily on jeans and trousers for everyday wear, my busy calendar calls for instant polish that requires little styling, so I’m now focusing on easy spring outfits. And my search starts from Zara, H&M and COS.

While I’ll always depend on the polish of a good pair of jeans or tailored trousers, the ease of spring, and the highly sophisticated spring collections finally pulled me out of my comfort zone and straight into spring outfit shopping. What draws me back to my trusty trousers is the sophisticated edge and comfort, so my outfit selection also focuses on these elements. Elegance tops my search criteria, followed by easy-to-style designs and versatility (my calendar is demanding pieces that can be re-styled for day or night).

Zara, H&M and COS are leading the way with the best spring dresses on the high street. This trio consistently serves up expensive-looking styles that may be worth the investment, and this season is no different. For Spring 2026, Zara is leaning into the boho mood with delicate lace and intricate embroideries to bring an elegant edge to spring styling. Plus, pared-back styles are ready to power minimalist wardrobes, whether it’s a main event or a backdrop for bold accessorizing.

At H&M, delicate motifs have also been broken up with sleek silhouettes defined by ruching and belt detailing. Along with the return of the classic shirt dress and throw-on tank styles, the silhouette is adding an expensive look to the dress collection. For COS, some of the best-selling styles are back due to popular demand, including the comfortable contrast-panel dress and twist-detail midi Which I missed last year. Trust me, I won’t miss it again. As well as the return of the classics to COS comes a range of new styles that focus heavily on the brand’s expertise in tailoring, form and fabric. With months of sunshine ahead of us, now’s the time to snag the best Zara, H&M and COS spring dresses before they sell out.
