Sidney Sweeney is reportedly disappointed after his cameo the devil wears prada 2 stripped of.
“Producers can make all the excuses they want, but this is a huge slap in the face to Sydney,” an insider told In Touch on Thursday.
“She has every right to be angry at the way she was treated,” the confidant said.
For those who don’t know, the 28-year-old actress filmed a nearly 3-minute scene for the Disney sequel in which she played herself as a celebrity client who was styled by Emily Blunt’s character, Emily Charlton.
However, due to a creative decision, the cameo has been removed from the film.
The source told the outlet, “It was a huge waste of his time, and it’s proof that he didn’t need it, that there’s a huge contingent of Hollywood … ready to harass him and trip him up whenever possible, which people in his world are simply blaming on old-fashioned jealousy.”
Despite being cut from the highly anticipated sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, the Euphoria actress is “trying to absorb it and move on, but it’s clearly bothering her.”
“She’s been thinking for a long time about moving on and leaving Hollywood behind,” the source revealed. “He doesn’t need this negativity in his life.”
For those who don’t know, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to release in theaters on May 1, 2026.
