Adam Scott talks about his experience working on The Aviator with some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
In an interview with The Guardian, Scott revealed that he was initially “very nervous” while working with Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett and Jude Law under Martin Scorsese’s direction.
Scott said, “But once you get there, you realize these are just regular people who are actors setting up a scene.”
“Everyone was extremely kind and generous to me and I immediately felt comfortable,” she said.
Additionally, Scott also talked about Scorsese’s direction, saying, “He is incredibly collaborative and encourages you to bring yourself into the proceedings and improvise.”
The actor continued, “I’m in a scene with Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett and Jude Law on this huge Coconut Grove (nightclub) set. You really feel the respect people have for Scorsese, because, between takes, you could hear a pin drop. Everyone was focused on making the best movie possible.”
It’s worth mentioning that Adam Scott plays Howard Hughes’ publicist Johnny Meyer in The Aviator.
The film received 11 nominations at the 77th Academy Awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor, and won five major awards, including Best Supporting Actress for Cate Blanchett.
