KL Rahul created history in the ongoing Tata Indian Premier League 2026 (Tata IPL 2026) with his breathtaking innings that stunned everyone during the ongoing Delhi Capitals vs Punjab Kings match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday, April 25.
The Delhi Capitals (DC) opener was dismissed twice – once when he was on 12 by Shashank Singh in the third over and then by Vijaykumar Vaishya in the 10th over when he was on 51 and Rahul made full use of those lives against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

The Indian batsman played a brilliant inning of unbeaten 152 runs with the help of 16 fours and 9 sixes in 67 balls. KL Rahul’s explosive innings not only helped Delhi Capitals post a mammoth score of 264/2 on the board against PBKS but also helped them create IPL history.

Rahul became the first Indian to score 150 runs in IPL history and now his innings of 152 runs is the third highest individual score in the history of the league. With this innings, the right-handed batsman also became the second Indian after Tilak Verma to score 150+ runs in men’s T20 cricket.
Tilak achieved the feat by scoring 151 runs for Hyderabad against Meghalaya in the domestic tournament in the 2024-25 season.
