And this motto applies to the rest of his life as well. As a busy athlete, she always finds time to ground herself, establishing a simple ritual that keeps her on track. What’s the biggest thing she does in a self-care moment? Bath She says this is the first thing an athlete should do when they get home to break a sweat. As far as her skin care routine is concerned, she keeps it very simple there too. But he told us some of his secrets. “In the morning, I don’t do anything,” she tells us. “But I wear sunscreen! I can’t remember what the brand is… I’m not really interested in Pokemon, but sometimes the packaging is of a Pokemon character.”
As far as her nightly routine is concerned, Liu says she called a friend in this department to find out what she needed. “My cousin actually gave me a skin care routine, and I use a snail (mucin). It really helps moisturize. (The first thing I do is) I use an elf product to remove my makeup. I use that and then I wash that off, and I apply eye cream, and then the snail mucin. I didn’t use the (snail mucin) last night. Did, and I can tell it’s thick and you don’t need to put a lot of lather on it. It lasts way longer.”
Don’t worry; As Venus ambassador, she was certainly kind enough to skip the shave routine. His all-time favorite is the Venus Razor moisture slide gold ($15). “It doesn’t make my skin crawl,” she says. “Also, just the design in general — I really mess with it. I think it’s really cool, and it’s kind of fancy.”
Next, she let us in on another secret: She’s surprisingly low-maintenance when it comes to her vibrant hair color. “I feel like I don’t take good care of my hair,” she admits. I don’t even use purple shampoo, but maybe I’ll start! I don’t know. I like the yellow in my hair.” However, she sticks to the basics. “[I use]shampoo, conditioner, and all that. I also use hair oil at the end. He is, I would say, the MVP!”
Now that Liu has competed in the Olympics, she’s also looking forward to some much-needed R&R. “(I plan to) sleep in, unpack, and do my best to get back to my normal life,” she says. “New episodes of (the anime) Jujutsu Kaisen are out, and I haven’t seen them yet, so I’m going to watch with my friends—we’re going to catch up!”
