Rajasthan Royals achieved a thrilling 6-run win over Gujarat Titans in the 9th match of IPL 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The match went till the last over, keeping the fans on the edge of their seats.
After a solid start and late pressure, RR posted a strong score of 201/5. The GT fought hard in the chase but fell behind in a tense finish.
Strong start and Jurrell’s finish
Rajasthan Royals got a great start with a 70-run partnership between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
Jaiswal looked in control and scored consecutive 55s, giving RR the early momentum on a good batting pitch.
After this, Dhruv Jurel took the responsibility in the middle overs and played a brilliant inning of 75 runs in 42 balls. He provided good momentum towards the end to take RR past the 200-mark.
Kagiso Rabada was the best bowler for Gujarat Titans, taking two wickets and keeping things balanced bit by bit.
GT started well but got loose grip
Despite the miss of Shubman Gill, Gujarat Titans got off to a strong start. Sai Sudarshan and Kumar Kushagra added 78 runs for the first wicket.
At that point, the GT was in control and comfortably on track to chase.
However, Ravi Bishnoi completely turned the game around with a match-winning spell. He took 4 for 41, including a crucial double at that changed pace.

Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada tried to work wonders by making a late partnership. He brought GT back into the game with some big hits.
GT needed 50 runs off the last 32 balls and suddenly chasing the target looked possible.
But Tushar Deshpande remained composed in the final over, defending 11 runs and ensuring a close win for RR.
