What a week it was! Iran shot down a US F-15 fighter jet followed by a dramatic rescue of the downed aircrew by US commandos deep inside Iranian territory. What is strange is that Trump and his Secretary of War (the former Secretary of Defense before the position was renamed) have fired several American generals in the middle of the war with Iran. Rumor has it that these were the generals who were against Trump and Pete Hegseth’s ground offensive initiative. Meanwhile, the vital oil channel, the Strait of Hormuz, is closed and Iran is allowing only a few ships to pass through.
The deadline to reopen the Strait of Hormuz is Tuesday.
