Authorities are desperately searching for the pilot after a plane crashed in mountainous terrain near the border with Brazil.
The 13-seater single engine plane was declared missing on Friday after it failed to land as expected.

Special sources launched a frantic search in the deep forest Guyana On Saturday.
The Guyana Defense Force (GDF) said in a statement online: “A ground team from GDF 31 Special Forces Squadron successfully engaged the general area and has since reached a position within visual proximity of the confirmed crash site of aircraft 8R-YAC.”
Alarm raised after Cessna Caravan did not return to sleep –mining Ibaimadai District, in the southwest of the small South American nation.
The local civil aviation authority said the pilot, reportedly a Nicaraguan citizen, was the only person on board.

It is believed to have encountered heavy rain before hitting the hill.
Troops arriving at the remote crash site had to descend into the jungle and cut a path through 100-foot tall trees to locate the pilot, the Army said in a statement.
“(The plane) failed to report arrival, leading to an investigation into the progress of the flight,” the statement said, adding that debris from the plane was found by other planes flying in the area on Friday.
The plane is one of dozens serving the South American country’s vast interior, as well as operating flights to neighboring countries brazilSuriname and Caribbean.
