Just when I thought my bank account and I were getting to a good place after raves at Sephora’s savings event, Nordstrom went ahead and dropped a Secret, limited time sale. From today through April 20, beauty fans can score 25% off skin, hair, makeup, and fragrance items from cult-favorite brands like Augustinus Bader, Dr. Barbara Sturm, Vacation, and who am I to turn down those coveted discounts? (My birthday is coming up too, so I’m using it as a timely excuse to treat myself.)

Trust me, I tried to resist my shopping urge, but after spending the entire morning scrolling through 36 pages of Markdown (you know, for… Research), I starred a handful of items that I knew I would regret not buying. So I went ahead and gave myself a strict budget of $375 to restock my entire essentials collection, which, by the way, is pretty tough considering many of my favorite luxury products cost more than that price alone. This is called compromise! Below, feel free to shop everything in my cart.

10 Products to Buy from Nordstrom’s Beauty Savings Event

    illuminator

During the summer, the only makeup I want to wear is sun-kissed bronzer and dewy highlighter, ideally with a subtle glow (looks more realistic). The latter part of RMS is calling my name, practically begging to be worn on my cheeks, eyelids and cupid’s bow.

Shake Shake Mineral Milk SPF 50 Sunscreen

    Holiday

Shake Shake Mineral Milk SPF 50 Sunscreen

I usually opt for mineral sunscreen, and this serum-y confection from Vacation is a great option for summer. Lightweight and non-greasy with a flip spout for controlled pouring, it’s practically made for applying (and reapplying) to the side of the pool. The retro packaging only makes wearing sunscreen feel more fun.

Suncare Ocean Salt & Sage Skull & Hair Mist SPF 30

    Coola

Suncare Ocean Salt & Sage Scalp & Hair Mist SPF 30

Sunburn is no fun on your scalp, so I’ve been stocking up on Koola’s SPF Hair Mist before summer starts. Trust me, this will soon become a staple of the holidays.

Obviously corrective™ Dark Spot Solution Face Serum

    Kiehl’s

Visibly Corrective Dark Spot Solution Face Serum

As someone who suffers from stubborn hyperpigmentation, I am always on the lookout for treatments that will fade dark spots and brighten the complexion. This powerful Kiehl’s formula fits the bill, and the precise dropper means I can target specific areas of concern without disrupting my skin barrier.

    Water-Lock Moisturizer

    Tata Harper Skincare

    Water-Lock Moisturizer

My skin is both acne-prone and dehydrated (funny!), so it requires a very special moisturizer to deeply hydrate without clogging pores, especially during the warmer months. This Tata Harper formula is one of the best formulas I have tried. My skin literally drinks it up!

    enzyme cleanser

    Dr. Barbara Sturm

    enzyme cleanser

To keep my complexion clear and glowing, enzyme cleansers are my best friends. (Enzymes exfoliate dead skin at the surface without penetrating too deeply, which makes them A+ for everyday exfoliation.) This from Dr. Barbara Sturm leaves my skin so Soft and shiny. Pro tip: Use it in the shower, as the steam will enhance the benefits of the enzymes.

Don't despair, repair!™ Deep Conditioning Hair Mask

    Briogeo

Don’t despair, repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask

Does anyone else face the problem of dry, straw-like hair as summer approaches? I can usually blame this on the increase in sweat, sun, and salt water, but mark my words, I refuse to deal with brittle hair this year. This repairing hair mask will come with me on every trip to reduce damage.

    hair oil

    Augustinus Bader

    hair oil

Honestly, don’t sleep on Augustinus Bader Hair products. I love shampoos and conditioners, but if you’re going to splurge on one hair care product, I would suggest a nutrient-rich hair oil. Impressive ingredient list aside, it’s mild enough to be used on dry hair without making them greasy (you only need a few drops) yet once you add a few more layers, it acts as an intensive treatment.

    Vanilla Sky Eau De Parfum

    skylar

    Vanilla Sky Eau De Parfum

I can’t go without fragrance! Skylar’s Vanilla Sky is my ideal summer vanilla scent. It’s not overly sweet, but creamy and warm due to the pure vanilla and cappucino, and it has a spicy, incense-drenched flavor due to the jasmine, cinnamon bark, cedarwood and sandalwood.
