Jennifer Lawrence is the quintessential millennial, and as a millennial, I feel like I have the ability to say this. I could list all the reasons why she’s the quintessential millennial, but for now, let’s focus on her style — specifically, one of the off-duty outfits she just wore in NYC.
While I no longer live in NYC, I visit quite often, and every time I go, I see attractive millennials wearing the outfit that Lawrence was seen in on this particular occasion: a boxy white T-shirt, black pull-on pants (hers were satin, FYI), black flats, and a baseball cap (which often has a logo on it). We, the millennial generation, love boxy tees and pants that are comfortable but still look attractive. And if I had a dollar for every Polo Ralph Lauren baseball cap I saw him wear, I’d be able to buy a few more to add to his already large collection.
All this said, Millennials, of course, are not Only The age group that wears this dress. I also want to point out that this is a perfect year-round outfit for NYC, because you can customize it by adding an extra layer if it’s cold, and change up shoes and accessories or dress it up or down depending on the season.
It’s highly likely that you already have the pieces that make up Lawrence’s outfit, but just in case, I found them for you, plus some excellent white lacet tees, which is the brand Lawrence and the millennial fashion girl writing about this garment over and over again.
