Pope Leo XIV has recently issued his scathing remarks against the “tyrants” who are ‘destroying’ the world.
The comments came during his visit to Cameroon, just after the president criticized the Pope for displaying his criticism on the Iran issue.
In the Pope’s eyes, what is needed is a “decisive change of course”, rather than continued control over those who use religion to justify war. He also expressed his concern about the world, noting that it was currently being “ravaged by a handful of tyrants.”
As far as the President’s original comments are concerned, he said, ‘I don’t think he’s doing a very good job. I think he likes crime. We don’t like a Pope who says it’s OK to have nuclear weapons. We don’t want a Pope who says crime is okay. I am not a fan of Pope Leo.
In another instance President Donald Trump even said, “If I wasn’t in the White House, Leo wouldn’t be in the Vatican,” and that he only got the role “because he was an American.”
