Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Writing Advice: “She always tries to give the character three things in any given scene. For example: They’re trying to order a sandwich, the deli is unbearably hot, and they’re trying very hard not to plan to rob the bank across the street in 20 minutes.”

Nadine says on camping with kids: “Fun story: On a road trip, my boyfriend and I stopped at the national park in Hope, Arkansas. While waiting to join a tour, Ranger Kevin persuaded us to do the Junior Ranger activity. Keep in mind, we’re in our 40s and had zero kids with us. We obliged, they took us to a very official swearing-in ceremony, and we received our wooden badges. What a joy!”
Ashley says on camping with kids: “The best family travel advice we ever got: Expect that at some point, it’s going to be terrible. There will be a moment when everyone becomes irritable or completely lose their shit. Anticipating that part makes the entire trip more enjoyable. Now, when that happens, my husband and I look at each other and shrug, ‘This is the terrible part.'” (Agreed!!!)
Meghan says on Mint Chocolate Mousse: “In my youth, I spent many years scooping ice cream. One thing I can say is that people who love mint chocolate love mint chocolate. No one was ever as excited to see the flavor on the menu as mint-chocolate people. I found it so sweet.”
Morgan says about moms, what do you always keep in your bag? “Growing up, I had health conditions that required frequent visits to doctors, hospital stays, and spending a lot of time in waiting rooms. My mom’s trick for entertaining me was that she would let me look at the stuff in her purse. Keys! Lipstick! My relationship with my mom was difficult, but I would give anything to travel back in time to look at her purse.”
