Being eternal is nothing new; In the beginning, God created us to live forever in fellowship with Him. However, it will be new to live completely, eternally, like Jesus (1 John 3:1-3) when we rise from the dead. When Jesus’ lifeless body was buried in the ground, our life with God was glorified forever and hung in limbo with Him. Praise God. The Spirit of God raised Jesus from the sleep of his death. The resurrection of Jesus also ensures our resurrection, because our life is hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:1-4), that death can no longer claim us. The only death that truly matters to us is dying for our sins through faith in baptism with Jesus (Romans 6:4). If we have participated in his death, we will surely participate in his resurrection (Romans 6:5). jesus was “The first fruits of those who have slept.” This means that since God raised Jesus from the dead, we can also be confident that we are “will be brought back to life” Be in Christ and with Him always. His resurrection guarantees our resurrection forever (Romans 8:11). Truly, praise God!
Almighty and merciful and powerful God, I praise you. I praise you today because of your grace given to me through the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. I know that I will see you face to face and share in your glory. Help me now to live the regenerate life before others, as the Holy Spirit transforms me every day into the greater and glorious likeness of Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:18). In whose name do I pray? Amen.
