    Manuka honey benefits are worth paying for

    1. Skin health and topical use

    This is one of the most researched and most practical of the manuka honey benefits for home use. Manuka works on the skin through two mechanisms simultaneously. MGO directly inhibits bacterial growth, and the honey also produces hydrogen peroxide as a secondary antibacterial effect. This dual action is why it appears in medical-grade wound dressings, why dermatologists discuss it in the context of acne-prone skin, and why it has become a staple in premium face masks.

    Application for home use is straightforward. The standard mask method is to apply a thin layer to clean skin and leave on for 20 to 30 minutes.
