I’ve attended a lot of festivals and scrolled through enough festival-related content to know when an experience feels special, and this year, Revolve Festival went above and beyond. One of the most sought-after invitations in the festival world offers you a VIP experience that showcases the best in music and fashion that will make you do double takes at times. I came for the Don Tolliver performance but stayed to see some incredibly stylish people. Sure, there were the expected cowboy boots and flashy sets, but what really stood out were the weird signature pieces that were being repeated in such a way that it felt like there was a storm of trends brewing.
It was less “festival attire” in the traditional sense and more of a curated aesthetic that might be on its way to defining summer style. It was as if everyone got the same memo but interpreted it from their own perspective. From signature accessories to signature silhouettes, these are the trends I noticed and, honestly, couldn’t stop thinking about afterward.
modern combat boots
Forget the combat boots you wore on Warped Tour when you were younger and try engineer-style boots. This version is sleek, low profile and sophisticated looking and Miu Miu approved. They had a big moment a few years ago and they still give the perfect finishing touch to festival looks. Rest first.
crochet caps
Somewhere between irony and chic, crochet hats were everywhere. Some find them costumey, and some call them the ultimate bohemian moment. It was kind of strange how, in less than a year, they were suddenly at everyone else’s head in celebration. They gave off that “I just wore this” energy while still feeling very stylish, especially with otherwise minimal outfits. This is the kind of accessory that makes a look thoughtful and a little more unique.

Beaded Bralettes and Dresses

Delicate but eye-catching, beaded bralettes and dresses replaced more predictable festival looks. They caught the light in a way that felt almost like jewelry, transforming a simple dress into something with dimension. Most were styled over sheer layers, or the tops were worn solo with low-rise bottoms for a very deliberate, barely-there effect. Teyana Taylor attracted everyone with her outfit.
leather mini shorts
This was one of the most notable swaps compared to festivals I attended a few years ago – leather micro shorts instead of the usual denim cutoffs. Wear these with any of your tops and your look will instantly improve.
capri jorts
When Jorts entered the chat, he was taller and bolder than ever. Calf length and baggy, it’s a style that feels just like festivalcore. They’re the natural evolution of the oversize-denim trend—just a little more directional and a lot more specific.
lace trim

From shorts to camis and skirts, little hits of lace trim appeared everywhere. It added a nice feeling of delicacy that balanced out the heavy leather and shoes. The overall effect felt a little retro, a little romantic, and very deliberate.
Crochet and Sheer Capes
The hat was the layered piece of the weekend, but not in the dark and dramatic way you might imagine — in a lighter, fairy-like sense. Crochet and sheer versions floated over dresses, adding dynamism and even more bohemian flair. It was less about coverage and more about creating an atmosphere.
