Following Noah Lyles’ reaction to his reaction to wife Junelle Bromfield’s wedding dress, the Jamaican runner has come to her husband’s defense.
The couple recently released a behind-the-scenes look from their wedding day on social media, which Noah received angry reactions from users.
In the clip, Lyles was surprised by his wife’s choice.
“Oh wow, okay,” said the 2024 Summer Olympics gold medalist, “I didn’t think you’d go with a princess dress. Yeah, that’s cool.”
One fan commented on the video, saying, “This reaction was awesome.”
“He didn’t compliment her even once,” one fan wrote. “I’m really angry about this apology,” one fan said. “Next time it’s okay to just put music over it,” said another.
On social media, Junelle Bromfield defended her husband over the reaction to her dress. She revealed that the day was already quite emotional, as some family members and friends could not attend.
She said, “The response I got from Noah was exactly what I needed because he tried to make me happy. He tried to talk to me, because if he didn’t do that, I probably would have walked out of the whole marriage because I was dealing with so much depression mentally and emotionally. So I really appreciated what he gave me.”
