Meehm was born on August 27, 1960 in Kitchener, Ontario. He studied philosophy at St. Jerome’s University in Waterloo, Ontario, and theology at St. Augustine’s Seminary in Toronto. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Hamilton, Ontario on May 6, 1989.
