Larson’s team apparently calls out both Barbie and Bratz dolls from TV shows like Winx Club And hannah montanapop icons Britney Spears and Destiny’s Child, and symbols such as hibiscus flowers and dolphins as key style inspirations.
Fans took those motifs and ran with them, recreating Larson’s eccentric costumes and makeup on stage, on TikTok and IRL at the show. “When it blew up and people started copying the costumes, it was pretty shocking, but it was great to see that people loved it,” Ospina told Refinery29. “That’s the biggest compliment a stylist can give, and I’m sure Zara would say the same.”
