Ringo Starr is planning to drop an EP.
The Beatles legend releases his star-studded country album long long roadHis latest collaboration with the legendary T Bone Burnett and he has revealed that he wants to bring together several songs for a mini-album to complete the project.
he told Diversity“Well, we’re doing that because I’m only doing 12 shows this year. I’ve got records with Universal, and I’ve got the best work.”
Ringo said, “And I’ve got the idea of making some other tracks and maybe an EP and I’ll put that out as well.”
When asked if he could give any further information about what to expect from the EP, he replied, “The idea is to just bring songs and put them together and see how it works.”
Ringo continued, “But the plan is an EP, where you can see the end of the road (because of the brevity), although these (two albums with Burnett) were really quick.”
“But, you know, I can find a lot of guys in L.A. who play, and it’s not heavy or big. That’s what we’ve done in the pandemic. We’ll make four tracks so you can get in there with your mask on, rather than an album that could take a lot of time,” transgender The hitmaker was called back.
“And we might do one of those again. So, it might be this long long road this year, it might be the best, and there might be an EP, and a tour put in between. So that’ll keep me pretty busy,” Ringo teased.
The record marks his second full collaboration with T Bone Burnett and comes as a follow-up to last year’s chart-topping Look up, Bringing together a host of legendary guests including Sheryl Crow, Sarah Jarosz, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle and St. Vincent.
