Apple reported another record-breaking quarterly earnings today, and it came with a big announcement about the iPhone 17 lineup: It’s now the company’s most popular model family ever.
The iPhone 17 family hits a big new milestone
Apple is celebrating another big sales quarter with wins across all products.
But iPhone has a huge contribution in that success. And while we knew the iPhone 17 family was selling very well, Apple confirmed it has hit a new milestone.
Apple CFO Kevan Parekh gave the following quote financial Times: :
The iPhone 17 family is now the most popular line-up in our history
No further details were shared. Does this mean this is the best-selling iPhone lineup ever? That certainly seems to be what Parekh is saying. Perhaps on the earnings call, Apple will confirm with more details.
Parekh also told foot Apple believes it “gained market share during the quarter.” Meaning overall the iPhone’s success is leaving Android competitors behind.
A lot has been written about the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max being big hits. But the remarkable success of the entire lineup overall means the iPhone Air will have to be a solid contributor as well.
Even though the Air may have performed below some expectations, Apple clearly has every reason to celebrate its entire current flagship lineup.
