The War Powers Resolution was introduced to limit the President’s ability to engage in prolonged military conflict without congressional approval after 60 days of hostilities.
Democrats have made repeated efforts in recent weeks to halt or limit U.S. military operations related to the Iran conflict.

The latest push comes amid rising political tensions in Washington over the ongoing war and concerns about rising military and economic costs associated with the conflict.
